EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION and REPROCESSING
(EMDR) therapy is clinically proven and is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.
Rather than speak issues of distress and trauma in great detail, EMDR focuses on changing the internal thoughts, behaviors and emotions, which have manifested from the root issue. The constant tug-of-war with self can be unpacked in a non-evasive way to help the brain return to its natural mechanisms to continue the healing process.
EMDR is beyond effective, particularly for women of color seeking alignment with their highest self. Notably, EMDR therapy can be completed in fewer sessions than other types of psychotherapies.
